GK Batteries ("we", "us") operates gkbatteries.com, the website of our battery and inverter shop in Alnavar, Dharwad District, Karnataka. This page explains what information this website collects, what we use it for, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible — we do not sell data, run ads, or build marketing profiles of you.

What we collect

Analytics data (with your consent): page views, the pages you visit, the city and region you connect from, your device and browser type, and the referring site. This is collected by Google Analytics 4 in aggregated, anonymised form.
Actions you take: when you tap a call button, a directions link or a review link, we record that the button was tapped and roughly which part of the page it was on. We do not record what you say on the phone.
No accounts, no forms: we do not ask you to register, and we do not collect names, addresses or payment details through this website.

Cookies and your consent

When you first visit, a small banner asks whether you agree to analytics. If you accept, Google Analytics 4 is allowed to store analytics cookies. If you decline, Google Analytics stays switched off and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is remembered on your device for 180 days — after that we ask again. You can clear it at any time by clearing cookies for this site in your browser, and the banner will reappear.

Quick way to opt out for good: use your browser's "Block third-party cookies" or "Do Not Track" setting, or install a tracker-blocking extension. The banner can also be reset by clearing site data for gkbatteries.com.

Who we share it with

We use two service providers, and no others: Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) and Vercel Inc. (website hosting). Both process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we never share your phone number with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Aggregated analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months, after which it is deleted. Vercel keeps its standard server logs under its own retention policy. Consent records are kept on your own device for 180 days.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and comparable laws, you have the right to know what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email or call us and we will action it — we do not hold accounts, so most requests are simply handled by us.

Data we receive from you directly

If you call us, we may note your name, vehicle or appliance, and what we supplied, in order to service the sale, honour the warranty, or arrange a repeat visit. This is ordinary business record-keeping, it stays with us, and we never share it with third parties.

Children

This site is a business website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
